Honoring Our Heroes: Compassionate Home Care for Veterans
At Heart2Care Home Care, we are deeply grateful for the service and sacrifices made by Canada’s Veterans. We believe those who have defended our nation deserve compassionate, dignified, and professional care that respects their legacy and supports their health, independence, and quality of life.
Heart2Care Home Care proudly serves Veterans throughout Alberta, including Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer, Lethbridge, Fort McMurray, and surrounding communities. We are an approved provider under the Veterans Independence Program (VIP), authorized by Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) to deliver essential home care services to eligible Veterans and their families.
Our services may be covered under the VIP and include:
Personal Support Services
- Assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility
- Support with toileting and incontinence care
- Gentle companionship to promote emotional well-being
Health & Nursing Services
Delivered by licensed nurses across Alberta, including:
- Wound care and dressing changes
- Catheter care (insertion, maintenance, and monitoring)
- IV therapy for hydration, medications, or nutrition
- Parenteral medication administration (IM, subcutaneous, etc.)
- Comprehensive nursing assessments to monitor health and coordinate care
- Support with chronic disease management, palliative care, and post-operative recovery
Household Support
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Grocery shopping and errands
- Meal planning and preparation based on dietary needs
Additional Veteran-Focused Services
- Medication management: reminders, administration, and coordination
- Transportation assistance to appointments or community events
- Respite care to relieve family caregivers
- Specialized support for conditions such as dementia, PTSD, and mobility impairments
